2015 Las Vegas Market Recap

We’re back from the Las Vegas Market at the World Market Center! There was plenty to do and see while there, including all of the upcoming trends and styles soon to be in stores! Here are some of our favorites from the show:

1. Metals

We’re digging these metallic chandeliers at Viz Glass.

These decorative gold hands at Noir could be interesting grouped together or hidden here and there in a bookcase.

Coppers are still strong, as shown by this chandelier by Global Views.

2. Blues

More beautiful color combinations using blue at Jaipur.

Uber Chic Home’s industrial decor was paired with blue and white pattern dyed pillows.

3. Natural Textures & Elements

Noir had on display some incredible natural elements on display.

Jaipur’s natural textures display shows rugs, stools, and accent pillows.

4. Lucite & Resin

This lucite and upholstery chair is a great example of the evolution of this amazing trend from simple silhouettes to expressive shapes.

Made Goods’ resin encased wood nesting tables reflect a trend seen widespread at the show, where voids in reclaimed wood are filled with resin.

5. Crystal & Mirrored Accents

The lighting section featured new designs for the traditional crystal beaded lamp.

Michael Aram’s booth glittered with mirror finishes.

Stunning mirrored accent at Global Views.

7. Curated Botanicals

These onion plates and bowls by Abbiamo Tutto remind us of retro table settings, and will look great with classic updated decor.

Old-time prints and etchings were also big at the show, like this art from the Karen Robertson Collections.

We loved Accent Decor’s window display of botanicals and woodsy elements.

Compliment with Marlasa

Pantone’s color of the year for 2015 is Marsala: a beautiful shade of red that is neither too bold nor too shy. It works as the perfect complimentary color for many AC Pacific furniture selections, so there is no reason why you shouldn’t incorporate this versatile hue into your existing decor with a few well placed accent pieces.

Create a pop of color using Marsala with rich repeat patterns, like a zig-zag or peacock rug, or filigree work pillow. Marsala provides majesty to various textures as well, including frosted or polished glass, dupioni, or soft, chunky knits. Finish off the look with aged golds, subtle oranges, and soft grays. Our favorite pieces to style with this scheme are our Carolyn accent armchair, the soft Lucas sofa with chaise, and our Presley collection in rich wood tones.

If you wish to go bold with Marsala, consider using it on an accent wall. The color can stand on its own, or can provide a contrasting backdrop to a gallery frames.

Take it a step further, if you dare, by painting the whole room in Marsala and accenting with white wainscoting, window trim, and moulding.

Our 480 Bedroom Set is perfect for a Marsala dominated bedroom. A light floor and intricate rug – with Marsala tints, of course – provide an elegant base for a bold solid wall. Use a light or neutral bedding set to offset the walls. Toss on a few Marsala tinted accent pillows to help tie in the color, or even opt for a bedding set incorporating hints of the color. Employ light colored, simple window coverings to help open up the room.

Marsala is sure to bring bold elegance to your home, no matter what your decor style may be. Happy decorating!
